We are talking stocking up ready for your summer or even winter 2020 wedding or party! Christmas is not necessarily the time you would be thinking about buying your dream day essentials, but the festive season brings out lucrative deals no other time of year conjures; from fairy lights to champagne. Many of the items we buy at Christmas, to celebrate and enjoy with our families and friends, are the same items we hunt for when planning a wedding and party. Champagne
Champagne is a staple for many events, from greeting your guests through to that all important cheers at the end of a speech. It is the drink that embodies a sense of occasion and celebration. Champagne is not always the cheapest drink to source however retailer’s seasonal offerings are not to be missed. Bulk buying means bulk savings, and what’s not to celebrate about that?
Candles
Candles at weddings are not only pretty décor; yes they add warmth, a flicker of light and often an enchanting aroma yet they also have a further symbolic purpose. Candlelight is associated with romance, with love, with memories. It creates an ambience and atmosphere that softens and draws people together – this is why candles also feature so highly during the festive time of year! From decorative tea lights to large ornamental pillar candles, retailers are full to the brim with these assortments, all waiting to be purchased and stored until your special day. Small candles also make wonderful wedding favours – inexpensive yet meaningful.
Fairy lights
Oh the joy of fairy lights, they can transform a space into a cosy Christmas retreat or a lavish springtime wedding. So versatile in the atmosphere they can create and yet so easy to install and incorporate with varying elements. Fairy lights can be seen on the exterior of houses, lighting the Christmas tree in the corner of the living space to hanging symmetrically above your guests whilst they dine, or glittering amongst a floral design in your centrepieces. Fairy lights are much cheaper in those first few weeks after Christmas and just because they are still advertised as Christmas lights does not mean they have to bought for that purpose!
Bridesmaid dresses and shoes
Bridesmaid’s outfits essentially follow no theme, except the one chosen by you and your loved ones. They are your colour of choice, style of choice, shoe of choice. Luckily many many dresses and shoes are in the sale during the new year, Boxing Day shopping is now as much of a thing as the turkey on your Christmas table.
